Just think, when this job is complete, the checklist items will all be crossed off and you can enjoy your clean home.Pull the dryer away from the wall to thoroughly clean vent and ensure there are no holes in the line.Clean out dryer vent coil-vacuum any lint build-up.Empty bookshelves-donate unwanted items or sell on eBay!.Use compressed air to clean CPU and keyboard.Organize pens, pencils, etc (test to see if pens & markers work, if not, toss!).Clean bookshelves or display shelves/knick-knacks.Clean couch cushions/under couch cushions.Clean lights/ceiling fans/light fixtures.Donate or give away toys that are not being used.Clean closets-replace clothes for spring.Put winter clothing away, pull out warm weather clothing.Clean closets-replace winter with spring/summer clothes.Clean ceiling fans/lights/light fixtures.Replace shower curtain rings, if needed.Check medicines/toiletries for expiration.Clean out pantry-toss expired items and reorganize.Clean dishwasher/sink -use a vinegar rinse.Pull out refrigerator and clean behind it.Empty our refrigerator & freezer- Discard the outdated items- Wipe down shelves, door, etc.Evaluate which pieces you are using or what you are not.Clean the chair legs, replace felt pads on bottoms.Ensure DVD’s are in the correct cases, donate those that are no longer regularly watched.Clean tv screen with an appropriate cleaner.Clean corners/dust bunnies/wipe molding.Clean ceiling fans/lamps/light fixtures.Empty out cabinets, toss or give away anything unused or unwanted- dust inside.Move all furniture and vacuum or mop beneath.Remove & vacuum couch cushions and beneath.Print this packet out, add your extras that I may have missed, and enjoy crossing those items off of each list! Spring Cleaning Checklist I’ve created a printable checklist packet for you. When you get to the bedroom, the winter clothes box will already be out and ready to fill. ![]() Instead of moving an item from one room to another, try to complete the task.įor example, instead of moving the heavy jackets to the bedroom to be packed away with the winter clothes, go ahead and get the winter clothes box out and place the heavy jackets into it. For example, when I clean the laundry room (which is also our mudroom), I find that I’ve added shoes, heavy jackets, and the like to the bedroom to be dealt with when I get to that room. Typically, cleaning one room adds a bit of work to another. I generally complete or two rooms, then take a day or two break. I don’t advocate doing it all in one day unless you are super motivated. ![]() Everything is more fun with a friend, right?! With checklists to motivate us, we can begin crossing off those to-do’s and get this job done. If you’re like me and are not a super spring cleaning fan, we can tackle this job together. And, I’ve spent a good deal of time cleaning up mud and dirty floors from the late winter rains (we don’t get much snow here in our part of Tennessee.)
